Use SummaBooking from your AI assistant
Connect Claude, Claude Code or ChatGPT to your workspace and ask in plain words. It’s optional — everything also works on the website.
What it does
Your assistant signs in as you, with your own account. Same rules as the website, so an assistant can’t book a taken slot, or change anything in a workspace that hasn’t accepted the Terms yet. Billing stays in your browser: an assistant never takes a card or subscribes for you. Admins subscribe on the Billing page in the app.
Members can ask
- “Which rooms are free tomorrow at 2 pm?”
- “Book the big room Friday 10 to 11.”
- “Book Room A every Tuesday at 10 AM for the next 10 weeks.”
- “Move my 3 PM to 4 PM.”
Admins can also ask
- “Add a room called Phone Booth 3 that seats 1.”
- “Turn on check-in with a 15-minute grace period.”
- “Invite our new coordinator so they can book rooms.”
- “Set up a workspace called Harbor Point.”
Start a workspace from your assistant
Your assistant can create a new workspace. You become its owner and it starts with one room. You accept the Terms yourself, on a page the assistant links to; nothing in the workspace can be changed until you do, and a workspace nobody accepts within 7 days is closed.
Connect from Claude
Use this server address. It is the same for every workspace.
https://app.summabooking.com/api/mcp
- In Claude go to Customize → Connectors. (On a Team or Enterprise plan an owner adds it once under Organization settings → Connectors, then everyone presses Connect.)
- Press + Add → Add custom connector, name it SummaBooking, paste the address above and press Continue.
- Keep the detected sign-in settings and press Add.
- In a chat, press + → Connectors → SummaBooking, then sign in with the email you use for SummaBooking.
In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http summabooking https://app.summabooking.com/api/mcp, then start claude, type /mcp, choose summabooking and sign in in the browser.
Connect from ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT open Plugins (Settings → Plugins).
- Press + → Add custom MCP server, name it SummaBooking, paste
https://app.summabooking.com/api/mcp, confirm you understand the warning and press Create. - Press Connect. Sign in with the email you use for SummaBooking, press Allow, and you return to ChatGPT.
- In a new chat type
@, pick SummaBooking and ask.
ChatGPT works on plans that allow custom connectors: custom plugins need a paid plan, and on a Business or Enterprise workspace an admin may have to allow them.
Menu names can change; if yours differ, look for “custom connector” or “MCP server” in your assistant’s settings.
What an assistant can and can’t do
- Can: find free rooms, book a room, move or cancel a booking, and book a repeating series when the workspace allows it.
- Admins can also: add, edit and deactivate rooms, set booking rules, rename the workspace and invite people as members.
- Can’t: take payment, change anyone’s role, remove members, delete rooms, export data, close a workspace or accept the Terms for you.
Stay in control
- See and end your own connections under “Your AI assistants” in the workspace menu at the top of the app.
- Admins also have an “AI assistants” page that shows who has connected, with switches to stop members from connecting and buttons to disconnect people.
- Members can connect unless an admin turns that off. An admin’s assistant changes only that admin’s own bookings unless the workspace allows more.
- Admins and members can each turn off their own connection.
- You can also remove SummaBooking in Claude’s or ChatGPT’s connector settings.
Privacy
An assistant sees only what the person who connected it can see. What we keep about connections, and how your assistant’s provider handles what it receives, is in our Privacy Policy and Terms.
